Coleman was born and raised in the town of the Lancashire town of Blackpool. She attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was head girl and gained straight As in her A-levels. Discussing her role on Emmerdale Coleman stated that she regrets that she did not have a traditional University experience. Coleman appeared on Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival as part of a group called In Yer Space, which she performed in during her time in school. Her performance was rewarded, and the play received positive reviews. Coleman, who was auditioning to join drama colleges in 2005, got Jasmine Thomas' role in Emmerdale. Coleman was nominated twice in 2007. In 2007, the British Soap Awards nominated her for the title of best newcomer. At the National Television Awards, she was also nominated best newcomer with the highest popularity. The 2009 British Soap Awards she was awarded in the Best Actress Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance categories. Coleman received a nomination for Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March press conference on the show that Coleman will play Matt Smith's partner after Karen Gillan left. Moffat picked her to play the role due to her ability to work well with Smith and was able to talk more quickly than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Elle has been in the field of film since 1987. Her work has been much more visible on television than in films. Eva played many roles on television, but two stand out in particular: the Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as Detective Natalia Boa Vistas which was in CSI Miami. The first role she played on TV earned her 2 Daytime Emmy nominations, and allowed her to develop her love for music. Eva is not just an actor, but as well a philanthropist and businesswoman. Her third husband is the father of her daughter.
